Reading planning 2025
2 min readDec 27, 2024
Going through what I read in 2024 and reflecting on what to read in 2025.
I planned to read a set of books in 2024, but these are the ones I did read:
What were the best books of 2024
Non-fiction
- 🤔 Meditations for Mortals: How to handle highs and lows of life. Or, “learn to go with the flow.”
- 🪦 Four Thousand Weeks: Yeah, that is a whole life. How are you “productive” in that time frame? (To “win” you have to step out of the game.)
- 👟 Shoe Dog: The story of how Nike was built! (Hustle porn!)
- 🛼 Storyworthy: How to tell a story! (It is a lot about shaving off things!)
- 👂 Supercommunicators: How to be a great communicator — and yes — that mostly means listening! (Changed the way I am at events!)
Fiction
- 🌈 The Great Believers: What “era” do we live in? And, how much are we to blame when a macro-event hits?
- 👨⚕️ Cutting for Stone: The arc of life — uprooting, family, belonging…
- 🐺 Once there were wolves: What is wild and what is “domesticated?”
- 🧑🦰 Demon Copperhead: A modern version of David Copperfield set in the rust belt.
